Friend's R

Friends notice more than words when we speak. Understand we aren't perfect & forgive us when we aren't. Will be there for the good and the bad days. Are proud of our successes. Mourn and help us overcome our failures. Want only the best for us.
Friends accept each others differences and grow from them.
Can be counted on when we can't count on ourselves. Hold special places in our hearts, time & distance can't erase.  Friends are something we don't deserve.  That require a lot of work to maintain yet are effortless.  Nothing we do can make them or loose them. They represent one of life's true beauties.

The Trip

A warm sunny day in May.
A cold snowy day in February, does when really matter?
Only the event and how we perceive  it is important.
We are the sum of all the events we have  been part of.
Enjoy your time and try and help everyone
you can along the way.  You can never be certain
how your journey maybe enriched by your actions.
Life needs to be shared to get the most out of it.

Passing
We  are here for a short time.  Weather we are a Person, a k-nine   or a stone. The important thing that we never really know is our effect on the other two.

Meeting

In life, God blesses us with opportunities to know special individuals. Bringing us near to them for a time, then moving on. Finding our meeting has made lasting impressions on each of us. Be thankful for that opportunity & cherish it. Remember there essence. There will be moments that remind us of them. Look on those times as gifts . Being thankful for the gift of self you have gotten from your encounters. For they will always be a part of you. acknowledging there memory gives them immortality. Which forms a better you, from the experience. Don't dwell on there loss just thank God for there memory. Then continue along the path you have been given. Till after finishing your job on earth you meet again. Having had your journey enriched from knowning them.

Race Day

Finish line

Dawn broke on a summer's day.
People stretching and sprinting, meeting friends old and new.
A shot rang out, a race began.
The front off like rabbits, the rest like snails waiting for time to fly.
With every heel strike, the starting line fades.
Heat and time deleting the ranks, muscles fill with toxin and pain.
But pride gives way, taking us to another world.
From out of a dream the finish line appears. Can we make it?
Surging forward with energy unrealized, we near that point.
Others may have crossed an hour before. But, in this one moment
you're the first.
Now the race is over and those who gather feel tomorrow bringing them closer to
another race.
